Product builder. Founder. Ecosystem builder.
I've spent 14+ years moving between engineering, product, and founding, learning what it actually takes to build things people use and companies that last.
The story
Starting in engineering
I started as a Java developer in Sri Lanka before moving to the UK to study at Middlesex University. After graduating, I joined Atheon Analytics where I spent six years growing from Full Stack Developer to Product Owner. It was my first taste of building software people depended on.
Moving into product
Product management was the natural next step. I joined Huddle as a Product Manager, then Beamery (HR tech), then Birdie, a health tech company building software for home care. At each stage, I got closer to the problems that actually mattered: activation, retention, growth.
Founding True Wills
In 2020, I co-founded True Wills, the UK's first digital Islamic will writing platform. We built and launched the product, grew it, and in 2022 were acquired by Wahed, an American Islamic investment and services company. It was the most complete product and entrepreneurial education I've ever had.
Building the ecosystem
Since the acquisition, I've been operating across three parallel tracks: fractional product leadership for early-stage startups; building Impact Connect to make Muslim tech founders more discoverable; and as a Partner at Ihsan Venture Studio, where we back and build Muslim-led tech startups. I'm also a VC Fellow at TRANSFORM VC and a Reforge Alumni.
